Completely re-engineered from the ground up, the Stellar Shell 2.0 is built on the experiences from a 7-year product life cycle and the feedback from thousands of users, featuring innovative technologies to deliver best-in-class performance.

This is a hardcore shell concept, meticulously designed for uncompromised winter protection, using our 3-layer construction for durability, breathability, low weight, and freedom of movement. The outer fabric is made from 100% pre-consumer recycled nylon, a pivotal change with a low impact and a key factor to making this is our most significant product upgrade ever.

    Perfected for on-mountain winter activities like freeriding, ski-touring and sidecountry, the Stellar Shell 2.0 Program represents a versatile blend of pure capability and minimalistic aesthetics.

    When we set out to redesign our most popular product ever, our requirements included upgraded performance, improved durability and an even better fit, while adhering to high environmental standards. Not an easy feat — as people loved its predecessor, used by the tens of thousands in more than 40 countries. Standing by our reductive design philosophy and continuous strive for improvement, we updated the Stellar Shell 2.0 Program down to the very last element, with significant technical advancements, sharp timeless lines, and carefully considered details.

    The 3-layer shell is built from a 100% pre-consumer recycled Japanese nylon fabric, paired with the unrivalled Dermizax™NX technology from Toray. It offers increased durability while maintaining the exceptional waterproofness, extraordinary breathability and low weight that our users depend on. You will have a hard time finding any shell material that can compete with its performance.

    The fit is completely revised and engineered for enhanced comfort, performance, and unrestricted freedom of movement. It has a longer, slightly roomier and more straight cut, an updated bottom hem design and adjustment, and a significantly larger hood to fit any helmet.

    The YKK AquaGuard® 2-way ventilation zippers are noticeably enlarged and repositioned for easier access and increased performance. All zippers are stitched for improved durability, and the collar is redesigned with laser-cut ventilation holes on the front placket.

    All pockets are repositioned and enlarged, providing plenty of room for your alpine necessities, and we added an internal mesh pocket for your goggles or gloves.

    An understated and elegant monochrome styling offsets its pure capabilities perfectly, keeping it current for years and making it easy to combine with other Stellar signature colors.

    Hood & collar: Fixed hood adjustable at front and at back, helmet compatible. Extra high collar with laser cut ventilation. Inner placket at front equipped with drainage channel.

    Pockets: Two vertical large zipped chest pockets. Two zipped hand pockets. One zipped upper arm pocket. One open mesh inner pocket.

    Zippers: YKK zippers. YKK Aquaguard™ technology used on all exposed zippers. Two-way zipper at front.

    Ventilation: Zipped ventilation under arms.

    Sleeve & cuffs: Pre-bent extra long sleeves for increased freedom of movement. Extra large cuff openings adjustable with velcro. Gorilla grip tape reinforcement at inside.

    Bottom hem: Bottom hem adjustable with internal elastic drawstring and cord locks at sides. Gorilla grip tape reinforcement at inside.

    Snow-gaiter: Internal snowgaiter with Stellar Closure System.

    You pay what you see. All duties and VAT are included in the total price for your order at checkout.

  • Fine wash the garments in cold water, maximum 30°C, by itself or with other garments in similar colors. Make sure to close all pockets and the front zipper. Do not use fabric softener.

    After wash, tumble dry or iron the jacket on low temperature to re-activate water-repellency.
