Lightweight, stretchable and so comfortable, you can hardly feel wearing it. Our best-selling shell jacket is designed for alpine activities like freeriding, ski-touring and sidecountry. But it is so versatile that it can be used for a wide variety of alpine outdoor activities in all seasons.

    A combination of leading lightweight materials, a perfected engineered cut, and a reductive design philosophy is the reason why the Stellar Shell has been our best selling product for years.

    Using Dermizax®NX from Japanese innovators Toray, this 3-layer shell is completely waterproof, completely windproof and extremely breathable. In fact — you will have a hard time finding any shell material that can compete with its performance.

    The shell fabric also features 2-way stretch which results in a lightweight and extremely nimble garment that is still very durable for its weight. It is so comfortable, you can hardly feel wearing it.

    Designed for alpine activities like skiing, snowboarding, ski-touring and side-country — but it is so versatile that you can use it for a wide range of outdoor activities in all seasons.

  • Completely waterproof, completely stormproof and extremely breathable.

    Two chest pockets, easily accessed when wearing a backpack, and two side pockets.

    Ski-pass pocket on upper left arm.

    Pit zips for quick and easy ventilation.

    2-way-adjustable fixed hood that is helmet-compatible.

    Engineered fit with elongated back-piece and pre-shaped arms for freedom of movement.

    Internal snow-gaiter system connects to all Stellar shell pants.

  • Main fabric: Dermizax NX™ – 3-ply, DWR-treated, 100% polyester. 165g/sqm. Made in Japan.

    Main fabric denier: 75D * 75D/2. (This is a woven fabric in which the warp and weft have different denier numbers.)

    Waterproofness: 20 000 mm.

    Breathability: 30 200 g/sqm/24h.

    Garment weight: Men’s S 596 g, M 620 g, L 653 g, XL 708 g, XXL 719 g. / Women’s S 542 g, M 568 g, L 597 g, XL 626 g.

    Center back length women’s: S 65.5 cm, M 67.5 cm, L 70 cm, XL 72.5 cm.

    Center back length men’s: S 74 cm, M 76 cm, L 78.5 cm, XL 81 cm, XXL 83.5 cm.

    Hood/collar: Fixed hood adjustable at front and at back. Extra high front of hood for maximum protection against the elements.

    Pockets: Two zipped chest pockets, whereof one equipped with internal radio pocket. Two zipped hand pockets. One zipped upper arm pocket. One zipped mesh inner pocket.

    Zippers: YKK zippers. YKK Aquaguard™ technology used on all exposed zippers. Two-way zipper at front.

    Ventilation: Zipped ventilation under arms.

    Sleeves and cuffs: Pre-bent and extra long sleeves for extra freedom of movement. Extra big cuff openings for easy closure. Cuffs adjustable with velcro.

    Bottom hem: Bottom hem adjustable with elastic drawstring.

    Snowgaiter: Internal snowgaiter with Stellar Closure System.

    RECCO: Jacket equipped with RECCO reflector in left sleeve.

    Note: Colors will differ slightly between different materials. The Stellar Shell Jacket will match the Stellar Shell Pant perfectly, but the Guide Shell Pant might not, because of differences in fabric texture and luminance. Contact customer service if you need advice.

    For EU + Norway customers: All orders placed before 12:00 CET (Monday-Friday) will be shipped the same day.

    For all non EU customers: All orders placed before 10:00 CET (Monday-Friday) will be shipped the same day.

    You pay what you see. All duties and VAT are included in the total price for your order at checkout.

  • Fine wash the garments in cold water, maximum 30°C, by itself or with other garments in similar colors. Make sure to close all pockets and the front zipper. Do not use fabric softener.

    After wash, tumble dry or iron the jacket on low temperature to re-activate water-repellency.
