Completely re-engineered from the ground up, the Stellar Shell 2.0 is built on the experiences from a 7-year product life cycle and the feedback from thousands of users, featuring innovative technologies to deliver best-in-class performance.

This is a hardcore shell concept, meticulously designed for uncompromised winter protection, using our 3-layer construction for durability, breathability, low weight, and freedom of movement. The outer fabric is made from 100% pre-consumer recycled nylon, a pivotal change with a low impact and a key factor in making this our most significant product upgrade ever.

    Perfected for on-mountain winter activities like freeriding, ski-touring and sidecountry, the Stellar Shell 2.0 Program represents a versatile blend of pure capability and minimalistic aesthetics.

    When we set out to redesign our most popular product ever, our requirements included upgraded performance, improved durability and an even better fit, while adhering to high environmental standards. Not an easy feat — as people loved its predecessor, used by the tens of thousands in more than 40 countries. Standing by our reductive design philosophy and continuous strive for improvement, we updated the Stellar Shell 2.0 Program down to the very last element, with significant technical advancements, sharp timeless lines, and carefully considered details.

    The 3-layer shell it is built from a 100% pre-consumer recycled Japanese nylon fabric, paired with the unrivaled Dermizax™NX technology from Toray. It offers increased durability while maintaining the exceptional waterproofness, extraordinary breathability and low weight that our users depend on. You will have a hard time finding any shell material that can compete with its performance.

    The fit is completely revised and engineered for enhanced comfort, performance, and unrestricted freedom of movement. They have a slightly roomier fit, and a much desired adjustable waist.

    The YKK AquaGuard® 2-way ventilation zippers are repositioned and noticeably enlarged for easier access and increased performance. The heavy-duty scuff guard on the inside leg is reshaped, enlarged and color-matched, and all zippers are stitched for improved durability.

    An understated and elegant monochrome styling offsets their pure capabilities perfectly, keeping them current for years and making them easy to combine with other Stellar signature colors.

    The Stellar Shell 2.0 Program is an essential part of The Stellar System™, our expanding ecosystem of premium technical layering products for demanding on-mountain activities.

    Adjustable leg opening for easy access to ski boots.

    Internal snow-gaiter system connects to Stellar Shell Jacket.

    Reinforcement fabric: 3-layer 100% nylon with Dermizax™ membrane. DWR-treated. 270 g/m². Made in Japan.

    Main fabric denier: 70 D x 140 D (Woven fabric in which the warp and weft have different denier).

    Reinforcement fabric denier: 210 D x 280 D (Woven fabric in which the warp and weft have different denier.)

    Waterproofness: + 20 000 mm. DWR treated main and reinforcement fabric

    Breathability: 25 000 g/m2/24h (main fabric). 12 000 g/m2/24h (reinforcement fabric)

    Garment weight: S 621g, M 639g, L 663g, XL 687g.

    Inseam length: S 79 cm, M 79 cm, L 81 cm, XL 81 cm.

    Pockets: Two zipped fleece hand pockets. Two zipped side leg pockets, whereof one equipped with loop for attaching transceiver.

    Zippers: Zipped ventilation openings at outside of leg. Mesh fabric on inside.

    Ventilation: Zipped ventilation under arms.

    Snow-gaiter: Internal snow gaiter in lightweight stretch fabric at leg opening. Stellar Closure System connects pants with jacket snowgaiter.

    RECCO® Makes You Searchable: Pants equipped with RECCO reflector at lower right leg.

    For all non EU customers: All orders placed before 10:00 CET (Monday-Friday) will be shipped the same day.

    You pay what you see. All duties and VAT are included in the total price for your order at checkout.

  • Fine wash the garments in cold water, maximum 30°C, by itself or with other garments in similar colors. Make sure to close all pockets and the front zipper. Do not use fabric softener.

    After wash, tumble dry or iron the jacket on low temperature to re-activate water-repellency.
