This synthetic insulation vest is very warm, very lightweight and very packable. Filled with PrimaLoft’s highest performing Gold Active ECO filament fibres, it is also very breathable. This makes it the perfect insulation garment for demanding activities in cold conditions.

    The revised and upgraded Primaloft Vest is a lightweight synthetic alternative to our down layers. The main differences being that while down undeniably has higher insulation capabilities, synthetic fibres are stretchable, compressible and breathable, allowing the moisture vapor to pass through the fibres.

    We also use a more breathable shell fabric, which makes these garments perfect for strenuous and demanding activities in alpine conditions, such as ski touring, skiing and climbing. The outer fabric is semi-glossy and glides perfectly in your layering system, for improved freedom of movement.

    It is water resistant, wind resistant, compressible and very packable. The insulation will keep its insulation capabilities even when wet. Designed to be worn under a shell jacket, or as a stand-alone outer layer.

  • PrimaLoft® Gold Active ECO insulation is arguably the finest synthetic material on the market, with an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio, trapping heat even when wet. It is lightweight, warm, compressible and soft.

    Striving to do better for the environment, this newly developed insulation now contains 55% recycled materials.

    The outer fabric is a very lightweight 12 denier DWR-treated Japanese nylon ripstop that is wind and water resistant.

    It has one chest pocket, two hand pockets, interior storm flap, elasticized cuffs and a drawcord hem.

    Athletic fit and is designed to go under a shell jacket. If you plan to use it as a stand-alone, consider going up one size.

  • Main fabric: Highly breathable rip-stop – 100% nylon. 29gr/sqm. Made in Japan.

    Main fabric denier: 12D*12D + 50D. (This is a woven fabric in which the warp and weft have different denier numbers.)

    Lining fabric: See ”main fabric”.

    Insulation: 60gr Primaloft Gold Active ECO (contains 55% recycled materials).

    Waterproofness: DWR-treated main fabric.

    Breathability: Highly breathable rip-stop (main fabric) – Air permeability 10cc/cm2/sec (20 CFM).

    Garment weight: S 164 g, L 183 g, XL 199 g.

    Center back length: S 61.5 cm, M 64 cm, L 66.5 cm, XL 69 cm.

    Hood/collar: High collar with chin guard triangle.

    Pockets: One zipped chest pocket. Two zipped hand pockets.

    Zippers: YKK zippers.

    Bottom hem: Bottom hem adjustable with elastic drawstring.

    Note: Colors will differ slightly between different materials. The Stellar Shell Jacket will match the Stellar Shell Pant perfectly, but the Guide Shell Pant might not, because of differences in fabric texture and luminance. Contact customer service if you need advice.

    You pay what you see. All duties and VAT are included in the total price for your order at checkout.

  • Wash the garments in cold water, maximum 30°C, by itself or with other garments in similar colors. Make sure to close all pockets and the front zipper. Do not use fabric softener.
    After wash, we recommend you to hang dry the garment – avoid tumble drying if possible.
