The Guide Aerogel Hybrid Concept is an obvious contender to our ‘team favorite’ title. Combining silica Aerogel insulation panels and a new DWR-treated ultralight shell fabric with strategic merino wool fleece panels, it provides a unique combination of lightweight insulation, breathable comfort and freedom of movement.
They are lightweight, comfortable, breathable and versatile — but above all they come with unexpected insulation capabilities: The Aerogel panels will keep you surprisingly warm on colder days while staying peculiarly cool-ish during harder work. The material also has the unique ability to retain its amazing insulation capabilities even when compressed by a cold chairlift.
The merino wool fabric has a complex double-knit structure, keeping the merino to one side of the fabric only, reaching 40% wool content where it matters. It is soft, warm and stretchable, effectively transporting moisture away from your body.
The Guide Aerogel Hybrid Pants 2.0 have been upgraded with our new ultralight rip-stop shell fabric that is stretchable, very breathable and weather resistant.
They have an athletic fit that provides excellent freedom of movement and they are perfect as a mid-layer during winter for ski-touring or alpinism.
The Guide Aerogel Hybrid 2.0 Concept is a fundamental part of The Guide System™, our selective ecosystem of ultra-high-end technical layering products for professional use in extreme conditions.
