The Guide Expedition Down Pants are the final result of extensive technical development, superior craftsmanship, meticulous lab testing, and above all grueling real-world experiences.

In collaboration with down experts in the US and fabric innovators in Japan, we designed these sophisticated expedition pants to withstand extended periods of extreme temperatures on the world’s highest peaks and in desolate arctic regions. They are among the most technically complex garments we have ever made.

They are built using an advanced box baffle construction, and filled with generous amounts of responsibly sourced premium 900 fill power goose down that is RDS-certified, blue sign-certified and 100% traceable. The Dermizax®Ultralight 3-layer rip-stop hardshell fabric provides extreme weather protection and lightweight durability. They have an oversized expedition fit with an adjustable waist, two oversized cargo pockets and an innovative drop-seat function (when you have to go you have to go). At only 904g in size medium, with a 267,4g down fill, they have an impressive warmth-to-weight-ratio. Very few down pants on the market that can match their performance.

Please note: The pants will be extremely compressed on delivery. They will need 72 hours minimum to regain their shape and to loft completely after shipping.

Main fabric denier: 20D.

Lining fabric: Water-resistant DWR-treated ultralight rip-stop, 100% nylon, 34g/sqm.

Insulation: 900 fill power DWR-treated goose down.

Waterproofness: Main fabric – 20 000 mm. Lining fabric – PFC-free DWR-treated rip-stop. Insulation – DWR-treated water-resistant goose down.

Breathability: Low. This is not a garment for high-pulse activities.

Inseam length: S 80,5 cm, M 82,5 cm, L 82,5 cm, XL 84,5 cm, XXL 84,5 cm.

Waist: Extra high waist at back and adjustable at sides with velcro. Front fly with zipper. Closure with one hook & eye and one snap button. Inner side leg zipper plackets insulated and with rips tape preventing the zipper from getting caught in the fabric when opening and closing the side leg zippers. Removable elastic belt keeps the pants up when backdrop seat is used.

Pockets: Two zipped front leg pockets.

Zippers: YKK zippers.

Leg opening: Internal elastic cuffs, same as on Guide Expedition Down Parka.

Extra features: Stow bag included. Box wall construction to avoid cold spots. Baffles sewn with elastic thread for maximum freedom of movement. Tested in Japanese cold chamber.
