Cutting-edge protection for alpine specialists

Completely redesigned for 2021 the new Guide Shell Concept 2.0 is a cutting-edge 3-layer shell concept stripped down to the bare necessities. Designed for those who spend days on end in an alpine environment, for those who ski often and hard, and for those who earn their living in the mountains.

With this new shell we are proud to introduce a completely new Japanese DermizaxNX 3-layer nylon fabric that is not only extremely durable, completely waterproof, completely stormproof and highly breathable — but also 100% recycled.

Available colors
    • Specialist 3-layer shell concept for demanding alpine conditions.
    • Extremely durable with tactical reinforcement panels in high-wear areas.
    • Fit and technical details optimized for helmet, backpack and harness.
    • 100% recycled Dermizax™NX 3-ply nylon fabric, made in Japan.

The new Guide Shell System 2.0 is the result of extensive technical development and real-world testing by mountain guides and professionals all over the world. Stripped down to the bare necessities, this shell is designed to be used with backpack, helmet and mountaineering equipment. It will withstand any weather conditions that you might encounter in the mountains or at high altitude, and is built to take the extended abuse of demanding alpine activities.

Made from a new Japanese 100% pre-consumer recycled Dermizax™NX 3-layer nylon fabric, with tactical reinforcement panels in all high-wear areas, this shell is extremely durable while surprisingly pliable, relatively lightweight and very comfortable. It is completely waterproof, completely stormproof and highly breathable. Generous ventilation alternatives provide effective moisture transportation, and all technical details are easily accessed when wearing technical equipment, backpack and harness. 5/6 length 2-way side zippers provide unparalleled ventilation and fast layering adjustment. An internal leg-strap at the lower leg tightens pants and reduces crampon snag. Adjustable leg openings will accommodate any ski-touring boots even in full walk-mode.

The Guide Shell 2.0 is an uncompromising and hard-wearing specialist garment designed for extreme conditions, made from the finest materials available while adhering to our highest environmental standards.
