The new Stellar Light Softshell Shorts are lightweight multi-purpose shorts built for hiking, scrambling, and climbing in alpine terrain. Using our proven Bluesign-certified technical softshell fabric, they are exceptionally stretchable and comfortable with a great fit, providing all-round durability, excellent breathability, and lightweight freedom of movement in rough environments. These are the ultimate all-round summer shorts. Perfected for light-and-fast alpine adventures, they are incredibly versatile and will perform across a wide range of summer activities.

    A welcome addition to our dry season lineup, the Stellar Light Softshell Shorts are the ultimate all-round alpine summer shorts — lightweight, wind-resistant, water-resistant, stretchable and breathable. They will excel in the rough environments that hikers, bikers, climbers, and alpinists often find themselves in, but are so versatile you can use them for a wide range of summer activities in shifting conditions.

    Our much appreciated Bluesign-certified softshell fabric has been tested and proven in all conditions imaginable, from hiking in the Lofoten mountains of northern Norway to mountain biking in the forests of British Columbia to rock and ice climbing in the Alps. It has a smooth, structured texture that is cool to the touch. Combining quick-drying and durable nylon with elastane fibers and a PFC-free DWR treatment, the fabric is incredibly stretchable and durable with weather-resistant properties.

    These shorts feel exceptionally light on your body, with a regular fit and an ergonomic patterning that allows for unrestricted freedom of movement. An adjustable waist allows for a perfected fit, and there is one cargo pocket, two hand pockets and one back pocket with room for your stuff.

    Pair them with the Stellar Light Softshell Jacket, and you have a setup so comfortable, competent, and versatile, you might start using it for more than just summiting.

  • Main fabric: 89 % nylon and 11 % Elastan. 207 g/sqm. Woven in Thailand.

    Main fabric denier: 90D x 140D+90D. (This is a woven fabric in which the warp and weft have different denier numbers.)

    Waterproofness:PFC-free DWR treated main fabric.

    Garment weight: S 288 g, M 297 g, L 302 g, XL 320 g, XXL 324 g.

    Inseam: Men’s S 25 cm, M 26 cm, L 26 cm, XL 27 cm, XXL 27 cm.

    Waist: Front fly with zipper. Closure with one upper hook & eye and one lower snap button. Integrated belt loops and adjustable waist with velcro.

    Pockets: Two zipped hand pockets. One zipped side leg pocket. One zipped back pocket.

    Zippers: 3 mm coil zipper.

  • Wash the garment in maximum 30°C, by itself or with other garments in similar colors. Make sure to close all zippers. Do not use fabric softener.

    Hang dry or tumble dry at low temperature.
